There have been so many breakthroughs in the medical field with the use of technology that people are starting to live longer. The problem we're facing now, while a lot of people are starting to live longer, doesn't necessarily mean that it's because people are starting to make wiser choices when it comes to their health. We're still encountering diseases, disabilities and other untreatable genetic problems a person's born with, that have no control over their problems from the get go, nor did they ask for them. There's starting to become a rapid rate of growth of people that are not only disabled in some way, shape or form, but because the population is getting bigger, there's chances of more accidents and more demand of older people wanting transplants.
While there are people that are kind enough to donate their own body parts, at some point, there's going to be a shortage. What do you do when the demand in body parts is greater than the supply? Well, print them I guess. There has been a major turning point in the last few years on how to supply the body part(s) a person needs. Not only printing body parts, but taking samples from you and making a part that would be completely compatible with your body, because it was made of material that came from you. I encourage anyone who loves this technology to watch the video below. It talks about a lot of exciting key notes that I didn't touch on this post.
